Live-in/out French-speaking Nanny in Connecticut

On behalf of our private client, a lovely family based in Connecticut, we are seeking a French-speaking Nanny to care for their 2-year-old kid. The position can be live-in or live-out. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone warm, nurturing, and reliable who enjoys working in a family environment and values open communication and teamwork. The role combines childcare with light household support and would suit someone flexible and organised, with a genuine love for young children. Driving licence is a must. The ideal candidate will be flexible and comfortable with travel. The Nanny should be dog-friendly and happy to include pet care in their daily routine as family has a golden-doodle. Ideally, the candidate will already hold a valid US visa or the right to work in the US.

Working hours/schedule: 40h per week 

Occasional weekend & Babysitting may be required, with flexibility mutually offered

Duties include:

• Full care of the 2-year-old boy: feeding, playtime, learning activities, and outdoor walks
• Walking and caring for the family’s dog (a Golden Doodle)
• Supporting the household during nap times or nursery hours 
• Laundry
• Tidying and light cleaning
• Simple family meal preparation
• Occasional evening babysitting and flexibility around family needs

Salary: $26 per hour, negotiable depending on experience and qualifications

Accommodation: Ensuite bedroom available within the family home (if live-in)

Start date: January 2026
