- Our private client is looking for a live-in/out full-time housekeeper/groom in Somerset
The successful candidate will work as a Housekeeper and Groom for a family with a Farmhouse and Cottages near Bruton in Somerset.
Your main job will be to run the house, which currently is a medium sized 5 bed farmhouse (the main house is to be renovated).
Key duties and responsibilities:
Good laundry and ironing and wardrobes experience, food preparation, cooking, cleaning.
Knowing how to present and organize a house, and to deal with utilities, occasional parties and babysitting.
Shopping, errands, liaising with contractors.
There is also a small family yard with 4 horses.
You will be someone with good riding ability and can work in a small team with a first Groom.
A good competent knowledge of horses and running a yard, maintaining horses, being able to turnout, feed and muck out and groom and help exercise when necessary.
The role requires flexibility and adaptability, to be able to work alone and unsupervised, taking initiative as well as working to specific instructions, and being very discreet.

A confident and competent driver
Working day(s): 5 day(s) per week including Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Salary: depending of experience
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
