Live-in Housekeeper/Cook in Zurich

Our private clients are seeking an experienced and highly organised Live-in Housekeeper / Cook to support their busy family home in Zurich. The residence is a charming 400-year-old farmhouse, home to a family of five (including three school-aged children) and two dogs.

This is a true housekeeping role (not cleaning only), requiring someone who will take pride in maintaining the home to an excellent standard, ensuring it is always organised, well-presented and running smoothly. The ideal candidate will become familiar with the household and ensure everything is kept in its place, creating a calm and efficient environment to support busy family life.

Schedule: Working days & hours: 5 days per week, approximately 40–45 hours (typically 9:00am – 5:00/6:00pm, with flexibility for occasional evenings or weekends on request)

Duties will include –

• All hands-on housekeeping and organisation to a high standard
• Laundry, ironing and wardrobe management
• Packing and unpacking for family travel
• Maintaining overall organisation and ensuring the home is always in excellent order
• Dust management (important in an older property)
• Cooking simple, healthy family meals 2–3 times per week, plus preparing simple snacks for the children
• Grocery shopping and household errands
• Dog walking and general care for two family dogs
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the household
• Any other duty in relation to the upkeep/ smooth running of family residence
• Occasional travel with the family to their second residence in the mountains.

The ideal candidate will be experienced, proactive and highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills. They should be warm, adaptable and happy to integrate into a busy family environment, and be dog friendly. Fluency in English and/or German is required.

Accommodation: Private 1-bedroom apartment in Zurich provided (clients residence accessible by public transport)

Start date: ASAP

Salary: CHF 60,000 - 70,000 gross per annum + accommodation

Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 3 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
