Part-time Laundress in Chesserex

On behalf of our private client, we are seeking a dynamic, positive, and experienced French Speaking laundress to join a small household team. The role is primarily focused on professional laundry and wardrobe care, with occasional support required to help maintain the impeccable standards of the home. This position would suit someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a collaborative team, and understands the discretion and precision required in a high-end private household. 

The successful candidate will be organised, proactive, and committed to delivering excellence in every aspect of their role. 

Driving licence and own car required, as the property is not accessible by public transport. 

Working hours/schedule:

• 20–25 hours per week flexible from Monday to Friday 
• Weekend off  

Main Responsibilities

• Knowledge of garment and household linen care, including delicate items.
• Impeccable ironing and finishing of clothing and delicate textiles.
• Managing items that need to be sent to external dry cleaners, while prioritising in-house treatment where possible.
• Organising and maintaining wardrobes and dressing rooms.
• Implementing an annual cleaning schedule for curtains, cushion covers, and other household fabrics.
• Cleaning and polishing shoes.
• Basic sewing and mending skills.

• Able to provide occasional support with general household cleaning (for example, during staff absences).

Salary: CHF 3420 gross 13 times per year (negotiable depending on experience and qualifications)

Holidays: 5 weeks per year

EU/Swiss passport or valid Swiss work/residence permit is required for this role.
