On behalf of our private clients based in Lugano, we are looking for an experienced Live-in Housekeeper for their property.
The ideal Housekeeper will have previous experience working in a private household, hands on with attention to detail, confident, organised, happy to follow instructions, dog and child/teenage friendly.
Working alongside a small household team, good English language skills are necessary and any German language skills are a bonus.
The family have a Daily Housekeeping schedule they would expect to be followed.
It is essential the Live-in Housekeeper has the relevant documentation for employment in Switzerland
Working Days & Hours: 5.5 days, Monday to Saturday plus Saturday mornings, 50 hours per week, 8:00AM – 6:00PM with 1 hour lunch break from 1:00PM – 2:00PM.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Open any closed curtains or blinds
- Vacuuming
- Laundry - washing and ironing, daily
- Make beds in the morning/turn down beds in the evening
- Daily fresh towels in the bathrooms – keeping the bathrooms clean and arranged (countertops, sinks, shower screens, faucets, restock of items)
- Keep toys organized
- Fix all cushions in the living area / interior
- Cleaning dog bowls after the dog has eaten in the morning
- Keeping the kitchen clean and organised - clear table after breakfast, lunch and/or after dinner
- Load & start the dishwasher
- Flower arrangements: flowers are delivered every 2 weeks. Change the water at regular intervals and cut back the stems if necessary to ensure the flower stays fresh for longer.
- Straightening up and organizing items such as shoes, toys, books, and magazines to maintain a clutter-free environment.
- Specialized cleaning: addressing any specific cleaning needs, such as polishing silverware, cleaning delicate surfaces, or treating stains
Accommodation: private bedroom and bathroom within property, use of family kitchen
Salary: €2,500 – 3,500 net per month
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
