- One of our private clients are looking for an experienced Nanny to assist a professional couple with their 3-year-old son.
The family are looking for someone caring, engaged and diligent who has a warm and friendly disposition.
The hours will be 7.30am-7.30pm, 5 days per week Monday through Friday where time will be split between homes in London (Marylebone) and Oxfordshire and with both parents working (currently from home).
The role
Shared care of the child during the week.
When in London the little one will usually be in nursery in the morning but with Covid impacting on these
arrangements the parents are looking to find someone resourceful who thrives on creating fun and
stimulating activities for the little one at home or outdoors with the resources at hand.
The Nanny
Someone energetic who has a love of the outdoors and being active.
Supporting learning and curiosity is important to the parents, therefore fluency in English is essential and a broad understanding of the EYFS, Montessori or other early years education framework would be great.
Having someone who is a team player and is happy to share responsibilities with the other members of the team is key.
Ideal background:
- Some teaching experience of EYFS/Montessori or other early years training would be great.
- Someone with an interest in music, dancing or the arts
- Love and/or an interest in travel.
- Some cooking skills.
Note:The couple also have a new born baby who will have his own nanny.
In addition to the second Nanny there is a daily Housekeeper in place to cover the household tasks. This role does not involve general housework but will include ‘nursery duties’ related to the child, including cleaning and tidying their room and playroom, cooking and baking for the little one and the responsibility for the children’s laundry.
Hours & Days of work:12 x hours a day (7.30am – 7.30pm) Monday through Friday.
Duties:
- Full care of the 3-year-old.
- When home-based creating fun activities for the little one there.
- Generally helping with development and education of the child.
- Taking the pre-schooler to/from nursery and to various activities (when they resume).
- Cooking of homemade, healthy meals for the child/ren.
- Responsibility for the child’s laundry and spaces including bedrooms and playroom.
- Keeping a diary and/or notify parents of nursery activities, medical appointments, developmental
- changes when needed.
Salary:Depending on experience
Accommodation: (Note: Both to be shared with another member of staff):
London:‘Live-in’ either within residence or within paid for accommodation less than 5 mins away.
Oxfordshire:‘Live-in’ in an annexe to the main house.
Covid:Must be happy to follow the government guidelines with regard to Covid relating to forming a
‘support bubble’ with the family, social distancing and masks.
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
