Description
One of our private clients based between the USA (mainly USA) and London are looking for a qualified and experienced Tutor to work with their 2 children (born September 2012 and October 2014) alongside another Tutor who has been working with the children since February 2019.

Experience is especially required with preparing children for the 7+ and 11+ exams.

While the core curriculum will remain French (split 50/50 French / English), the Tutor will be required to ensure that the children are supported with the English language including reading, writing and communication as well as working with the other subjects such as maths, history, geography, art and creative studies. While not essential, it would be of benefit if the tutor could speak French.

Must be able to use innovative and exciting ways to engage learning which will include taking the children on outings to help bring the curriculum to life. It is also important that the children have opportunities to socialise and interact with other children their age.

The tutors will be responsible for identifying and linking with groups for them to attend to ensure that this takes place wherever the children might be in the world.

The children are happy and confident as well as being creative and articulate - they enjoy and show enthusiasm to learn new things.

Learning takes place in a school room in the grounds of the family homes. The tutor will be required to work with the other tutor, family and other household staff to ensure that the school room is fully equipped with all of the necessary resources.

This is a fully staffed household and includes rota nannies and a French speaking Junior nanny (all with whom the tutor will work very closely) for the children and their younger sister.

Working hours will be 7 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

Separate accommodation will be provided for the tutor along with an appropriate Visa to enable them to work in the US.

The family have a number of pets (cats and dogs).

Required: January to July 2020 (with the possibility of a renewed contract for 2020/21 but this is not guaranteed)

Salary: £1500 gross per week – self-employed bases

Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
