Description
Our private client is looking for a looking for a mature, experienced, professional senior rota nanny / governess to care for two boys (Feb 2015 and March 2017).  The eldest boy currently attends nursery 3.5 days per week and will be starting full time school in September (finishing at lunchtime on a Friday).  Both boys are active, energetic and very bright children - they need to be stimulated and both have a love for learning! This is a very relaxed, respectful family who want the boys to have fun with the people caring for them whilst ensuring that they are getting the very best possible care.
 
Hours
24 hours per day 7 days on and 7 days off alongside another senior rota nanny/governess. 
 
About the Nanny
The nanny / governess will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively as a team with the other nanny / governess and with the rest of the household staff.  When working the nanny / governess will have their own bedroom and a bathroom shared with the children.  When the family has moved to Knightsbridge the nanny / governess will have their own bedroom and bathroom.
 
Requirements
  •  - Understand the needs of older children and have had experience of working with both       school and nursery age children
  •  - Knowledge and experience of supporting children with phonics, reading and writing is       essential and some knowledge of Mandarin would be advantageous (but not essential). 
  •  - Required to support the eldest boy with his homework and coordinate / deliver creative     extra curricula extension activities for both boys after school and at weekends. 
  •  - Required to provide a homely environment which is caring yet stimulating and
  •    engaging              
 
Education
  • Demonstration that you have undertaken recent CPD in early years including participation in relevant training courses, as well as having undertaken their own reading and research. 
  • Desire to continue to enhance and develop knowledge through regular CPD activities and for this to be demonstrated in your practice.
  • Ability to take children through this next stage in their lives
 
This is a fully staffed household, however from September when the family move to Knightsbridge, responsibility for normal nursery duties will be expected from the nanny / governess such as doing the children’s laundry and cooking for them.
 
Travel
The nanny / governess would be required (on a rota basis) to travel with the family in the summer to Monaco and then to Barbados/LA over Christmas and new year.
 
A car driver is not essential.  The family have 2 dogs.

Salary: £60,000-£65,000 gross PA
Closing date:18 June 2019

Location: Mayfair, moving to Knightsbridge Nov / Dec 2019

Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
