- Our private client in Kensington is looking for a Live-out Nanny to look after their 7-year-old son.
As the Nanny you will be looking after the boy’s day to day needs such as; school runs, helping with homework, preparing nutritious meals, organising play dates, with the occasional travel to Berkshire and Oxfordshire.
Days & Hours of Work
30 hours a week, Monday – Friday (to include some morning school runs and two babysitting/overnight stays per week)
Typical Hours: 3pm – 7pm, and the right candidate must be willing to be flexible
Overtime: Additional babysitting and overnight care outside of the two nights agreed, would be considered overtime and pay at a rate of £15 an hour (not cash).
Essentials: Must like dogs, be able to drive, and be a confident swimmer
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Preparing the child for bed and ensuring their bedroom is tidy
- Occasional evening babysitting (agreed 2 weeks advance)
- Any additional babysitting to be agreed at the beginning of the week
- Packing overnight bags for weekends away and/or holidays
- Occasionally accompanying the child to stay in the country, by train or by car
- Helping with homework and developmental progress given his special learning needs
- Helping with the school runs when needed
- Accompanying the child to activities, appointments, going to and hosting play dates
- Cooking for the child and helping prepare family meals when required
- Running errands and shopping when required
Experience/Skills/Characteristics:
- Flexible within the role is essential
- Relevant experience as a nanny caring for children of a similar age in a private environment
- A proactive and responsible attitude
- Discretion and loyalty are essential
- A strong work ethic and good time management skills
- Strong communication skills and good command of the English language
- UK Driving licence is essential
- NDA agreement must be signed
- Have a current DBS check, or willing to initiate a new one
Start date: March/April 2019
Salary: Salary: £500 net per week
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
