- Description
- This is a great opportunity for a German Speaking, ideally local Household/Estate Manager/Butler to join a lovely international family in their newly purchased estate in the Heart of Wessig, Switzerland. Ideally, they would like for the Household Manager to travel to work on daily basis, so someone who drives and lives around Zurich, in the hourly reach to Weggis, would be a great and a comfortable option.
Responsibilities
- Household and Estate management – estate reviews, monitoring, arranging minor repairs and organising various necessary contractors
- Managing any estate related works and estate development
- Negotiating, confirming and monitoring delivery of all associated contractors
- Managing household personnel, including housekeepers, a chef, a gardener etc. Ensuring their job is done well, managing rotas and schedules, liaising with staff members if they may have any questions
- Assisting with recruitment processes, meeting candidates for interviews, onboarding new members of staff
- Organising lunches, dinners and events to the high level
- Meeting and greeting guests when required, answering phone calls, dealing with the estate correspondence and invoices
- Budgeting and shopping for the estate
- Assisting chef with various occasional produce purchases and their deliveries
- Personal and lifestyle shopping when required
- All organisational, administrative, monitoring and various projects delivery when required
You will be
- An experienced Household Manager and/or Butler
- Ideally based not too far from Weggis, clean driving license and ideally an own car to get to work on daily basis
- Fluent German Speaker
- English language skills are a great advantage
- Ideally, you will know Switzerland well and will be able to advise on various cultural and professional matters
- Eye to details and responsible, organised approach
- Positive, friendly and welcoming attitude
