- Description
- One of our private clients based in Oxfordshire are looking for a House Manager to manage their Estate.
The House Manager will be responsible for overall management of the estate, this includes; gardens and grounds, pools, theater, guest houses etc, and be accountable for the development; implementation and supervision of appropriate staffing arrangements.
Currently there is a Part time Housekeeper, and more will be recruited when principles are present as this Estate is not their pimpary residence.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, level-headed, hands on, great attitude, have attention to detail.
Primary Responsibilities/Duties:
- Provide principal support with organizing and supervising the housekeepers, caretakers, and maintenance staff on a daily basis.
- Oversight of the operation and maintenance of specialized venues, facilities, theaters and pools.
- Identifying and engaging qualified, cost effective contractors for all service needs at each residence.
- Developing and supervising third party rental programs at identified residences.
- Organizing social events
- Ensuring all audio-visual equipment / services are properly functioning on a daily basis
- Managing each site at the highest level of safety and security for family members, guests and workers.
- Ensuring appropriate care for exceptional valuables such as art, jewelry, or sliver.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
- General hours of work and weekend work will vary depending on the family's needs, weather, workloads and efficiencies.
Related Skills:
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to complete problem identification and resolution.
- Ability to speak with contractors and employees effectively. Must have strong communications skills.
- Be familiar and comfortable with computer operations, audio visual equipment and able to provide tier one support.
- The ability to recognize potentially dangerous or hazardous conditions.
- Demonstrate good personal control and judgment under normal and stressful conditions.
- Able to understand the needs of others and to offer viable cost-effective solutions to diverse problems.
- Must be flexible
- Must be guest-service oriented and attentive to details.
Experience:
- Requires 10+ years Manager/Concierge experience in a private estate or 5-star hotels.
- Requires 10+ years of supervisory experience as senior or equivalent lead role.
- Experience with fine wines and foods.
Accommodation: Cottage on the estate
Salary: £60,000.00 +
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 5+ years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
