- Description
- One of our private clients based in Switzerland is looking for a German (does not need to be Native) speaking Principal Nanny to look after their 2 boys (born March 2015 and August 2011).
The children, parents and grandmother (who also lives in the family home) speak fluent English, German, Spanish and Italian.
The nanny would work on a sole charge basis 24/7 - 3 weeks on duty / 1 week off duty. Both boys are in school full time and so the nanny would have time to complete their nursery duties between 10am and 3pm each day. A driver, confident to drive in Europe, is essential as the nanny would be expected to drive the children to and from school and activities.
The children are very happy and confident and enjoy doing activities which promote their varied interests. After school and during the school holidays the nanny would be expected to organise stimulating and fun activities and outings appropriate to the children’s ages and stages of development. At weekends in the winter the children are at ski school on both days until 4pm and during the summer they have swimming and tennis lessons etc.
The family live and travel in Switzerland (Zurich area and St Moritz) for Skiing and around Italy (Milan, Portofino and Tuscany) on holiday and the nanny would be expected to accompany them to care for the children on these trips. The family enjoy sailing and so the nanny should be a strong swimmer and enjoy sailing.
The family have a secondary nanny to cover for nanny absences or holidays.
The family employ household staff including a chef, but the nanny would be expected to perform normal nursery duties including laundry, administrative tasks related to the children etc.
A car driver is essential including experience of driving in Europe.
Accommodation comprises own room and bathroom.
Salary: £75,000.00 gross per year
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
