- Live-out Daily Housekeeper/Kosher Cook in Notting Hill
Our private client based in Notting Hill; London are seeking a permanent long term live-out housekeeper who has had experience with Kosher food preparation.
Our client is a warm and friendly American family of 4 with 2 children and no pets.
The family home has 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms split over 5 levels, with lots of stairs. We are informal, fun, loving and warm and are looking for someone who is dedicated, youthful, energetic, not afraid of a lot of stairs, and extremely detailed oriented with strong organisational skills.
Requirements and expectations:
As the only housekeeper you will be in charge of and responsible for:
- Kosher food preparation experience required
- All deep cleaning and day to day cleaning
- Dusting
- Hoovering
- Mopping
- overall cleaning
- organising
- changing bed linens weekly
- laundry - including the washing of delicate items and fabrics - knowing what does and does not require hand washing and/or hang drying
- ironing
- simple/basic cooking and meal prep
- occasional grocery shopping
- supply tracking
- Wardrobe management
You will be proactive and able to work on your own initiative, managing your time effectively and be happy to help out where ever you are needed in the home.
You will be responsible for all laundry and ironing including bed linen.
You should be highly skilled at caring for delicate items and fabrics, such as silk and cashmere.
You will be responsible for meal prep and cooking simple evening dinners so you should be a confident cook, happy to follow a recipe.
Accepting deliveries and overseeing contractors along with other house management tasks such as tracking supplies.
Occasionally you will do the grocery shopping and may be asked to run errands. You may also occasionally be asked to assist with the children, although they have a nanny already,
Working Day(s)/Hour(s): 5 days a week Monday to Friday
12 noon to 8pm daily (40hrs per week)
Salary: up to £32,000.00 gross per year (depending on experience)
Special Skills
You should be experienced at housekeeping and have an excellent eye for detail.
You should be skilled at laundry, ironing and wardrobe management, highly organised.
Hard-working, flexible, reliable and a team player
Confident at simple cooking.
Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay
